DF has always been more of a fan of the ‘pure’ driving experience than just raw power and as such, a car such as a Cayman R would bring more excitement than something such as a 911 Turbo with all the luxury options. It was a nice discovery to find this green Cayman R sitting on the show room floor. …
Here is one of those high optioned 911 Turbo’s mentioned in the Cayman article, so why is it shown here? Well, because you just do not see many of the 997 generation turbo’s with the Aerokit option like this one has. It was a used 2010 car on the floor with just a couple of K on the odometer and …
Well look what they had over in the service area… a beautiful Carrera GT! You do not see many of these around so it was a nice find on our search for cool cars in Canada. A high revving V10 in a beautifully low slung body with minimal weight, makes for a potent combo of driving pleasure. This one had …
On the floor of the Audi dealer was a stunning grey R8 with black blades. This was a manual six speed version with the V8 and not the V10. They had the spoiler ‘up’ which many people think helps balance the look of the R8 toward the rear. Audi really did an excellent job with the R8 and it perhaps …
One of the distinct differences noticed about this Audi dealer vs. others in the USA, is that they displayed many of their cars with Audi accessories attached. Such as an S4 with the bicycle rack mounted on top. Many of the vehicles on the showroom floor had Audi accessories attached and displayed.
Like the Porsche dealer, the Audi dealer was completely indoors, including their used car selection which was in the ‘basement’ of the dealership, this made it very comfortable to browse and look at their available used vehicles for sale. It was also nice to have the model year of the used vehicle displayed prominently in the license plate frame.
As a whole the Audi dealer was very tidy and clean and well displayed. Certainly worth visiting.
The Ferrari/Maserati dealer was the third one on the list to be explored and their web page indicated no less than 15 vehicles in stock and that their showroom opened at 10:00am. It was 10:15am, only two vehicles were on the showroom floor, a Ferrari FF and a Maserati Quattroporte, and the doors to the dealer were locked. The one …
A short distance from the Ferrari dealer a Ferrari 458 Italia was spotted and a photo taken of its tail end as it turned in the opposite direction. It turned down the same street as an earlier spotted Audi R8 and Porsche Panamera, so some investigation was required to see just what was down that street.
The little side street turned out to be a very posh little street with very high end clothing boutique shops… and some cars! This dark blue Jaguar E-Type Series 1.5 convertible was discovered just off that little street in the entrance to a parking garage.
The R8 that was spotted earlier in the day on the way to the Ferrari dealer was discovered parked in front of one of the little shops. This R8 had the V10 instead of the V8 version that was at the Audi dealer.
Around the corner from the posh little side street and another green Cayman R was captured on film sprinting away from an intersection. Was it mentioned that all Cayman R’s are green?
The final car caught on film by DF in Toronto was an off-white Bentley Continental Supersports with blacked out wheels. Here was a unique car that one does not see every day. It was parked near a fire station which made one wonder just how much firemen got paid in Canada?
